R4 ds micro sd chip troubleshooting...?

My r4 doesn't seem to work anymore and I'm pretty sure that it's not the r4's fault but the micro sd chip. Because I had taken the micro sd chip out and saw that it had like some white stuff like fluff or whatever on it and i used the edge of the r4 to scratch it off. Then I put the micro sd chip back in on the wrong side by accident and there was a scraping feeling. I put it on the right side and then it wouldnt work on my ds. It stops working after 'Loading....'. I'm not sure which action was the fault. Then I took out the micro sd chip and put it into the usb thing and plugged it into the computer. The Removable Drive E showed up but whenever I double click on it it says "Please insert a disc into the drive." Which I have interpreted means that it cannot read/detect the micro sd chip. Nothing works. Please help?
