R4DS Problems with Loading?

My friend has bought a R4DS recently. We have the latest firmware on it but when he plays his MicroSD card and his R4, it doesn't work. When he plays my R4 with his MicroSD card, it's fine. When it doesn't work, it just freezes on the Loading screen. Please help!
