Nintendo DS R4 questions/please help?

I have the R4 for my nintendo ds. I only was able to figure out how to use it to listen to music and look at pictures. I need some help to figure out how to obtain the correct video format to watch movies I know the format is DPG, but do I need a converter for that? Also, I'm not sure how to use the R4 to save games either. Furthermore, I would like some help with the trim tool.
